Bayside boys run for charity

Bayside boys run for charity!

Recently boys from Years 8, 9 and 10 (and a few others!) walked and ran the same distance between here and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. The all-day event took place in the Victoria Stadium and was planned with military precision by PE teacher Kayne Peliza and a few other very dedicated teachers. All the students who took part did so with a great deal of enthusiasm and there was a definite party atmosphere in the air – most of the teachers present ended up more exhausted than the boys!

About 720 students walked and ran about 1,739 kilometres around the tracks and at the same time other students took turns to take part in other sporting activities. More than £3,000 was collected and proceeds will go to Pathway Through Pain, RICC and Great Ormond Street.

Another Bayside success!
